What to include in a bug report
- Whether you used the ChatGPT plugin or the browser-local checker
- The action you attempted: diagnose, preview, or export
- JSON or YAML, the error or rule code, and what you expected
- A minimal synthetic example, only if it is needed to reproduce the issue
Do not email passwords, API keys, access tokens, real customer definitions, health records, payment-card data, or unnecessary personal information. Redact screenshots and use invented examples.
Before reporting a rejected definition
- Use one complete UTF-8 OpenAPI 3.0.0–3.0.4 JSON or YAML document
- Keep MCP inputs within 64 KiB, 5,000 values, 128 bytes per key, and 512 bytes per JSON Pointer; key and pointer limits use UTF-8 bytes
- Remove duplicate keys and unsupported YAML aliases, custom tags, or multi-document streams
- External references are never fetched; prepare a self-contained definition yourself
- If the source or preview changed, diagnose the current source and review a fresh preview before export
A rejected request does not mean the definition is invalid in every environment. Some valid complex documents exceed the service’s conservative limits.
What support can cover
Reports about the checker’s behavior and supported workflow are welcome. The tool does not connect to AWS, deploy an API, create an authorizer, or guarantee that an API will import or authorize correctly. No response-time commitment is offered.
Support-message retention
Support message bodies and attachments are kept only while needed to handle the inquiry. Unnecessary message bodies and attachments are manually deleted. There is no automatic deletion schedule or promised response deadline.
Privacy questions and requests
Use the same address to ask about data handling or request access to or deletion of information associated with a support message. Include only enough context to identify the request, and do not resend an API definition. ChatGPT conversations and local downloads have separate controls.
